Two Lakes in White Lake Michigan

Here are two lakes in Oakland County. Oxbow Lake and Cedar  Island Lake. These lakes offer different features and qualities the residents enjoy.

If you are looking for a public lake, Cedar Island Lake offers public access, though there is not a public beach. This means the only way you would really be able to enjoy the lake if you live here or if you had a boat to drop in on the lake. Cedar Island lake is located in the Huron Valley School District, and Walled Lake School district. Cedar Island Lake is 169 acres.  Cedar Island Lake is not a round lake. It’s more like a u-shaped lake with many fingers going off in different directions.  There are canals and little bays that many lake front homes are situated on.  In those little bays and canals you get the pleasure of living on the water but with little boat noise and no boat traffic.  Cedar Island Lake Oakland County is an all sports lake.  It would be classified as a small lake.   Like most of Michigan inland lakes lake traffic during the week is quiet.  During the weekend all the Cedar Island homeowners come out to play on the lake! This is a great place to live. You and your family will love being able to make new memories on the lake.

Oxbow Lake is another great lake in Oakland County White Lake Mi. This is a very fun lake to live on. This is a private all-sports lake, this means you don’t have to worry about unexpected boat traffic when the kids want to go tubing or skiing. This is a large lake at 270 acres, so you and the kids will have a great time cruising around the water in the summer time. Like a few other lakes in Oakland county there is a bar on Oxbow lake; Sprader’s on the Lake. This is a bar all the residents go to and a lot of local non- lakefront residents in the area. There is a variety of home styles on this lake and they mainly range in age from 1920’s – 2000… There is a home built way back in the 1860! The homes range in size as-well, mostly 1000-3500, there are some smaller and some larger. Depending on what you want out of a lakefront home, chances are you will find it here! The kids even get to stay or enter the great Huron Valley School District. If you want to see if there are any homes currently available on this lake, give me a call and we can get you set up on an automatic email!
