There is a public beach on the lake, but the public cannot launch motorized boats so it is a private lake.  Dixie Lake in Clarkston MI is a smaller private lake that is a little further north of downtown Clarkston.

Lakefront Homes for Sale Carroll Lake Commerce Township Michigan are going to appeal to the buyer that wants a small lake and that is not looking for a mega mansion.  Carroll Lake connects to Clark Lake.  Even the two of them do not make up to a big lake.  I would say these two lakes are more of a pontoon lake that a lake that will accommodate large power sports activities.    If you want the then look for Foreclosures on Cass Lake in Oakland County Michigan.  Cass Lake is Metro Detroit’s largest lake at 1280 acres.  You will find luxury lakefront homes on the lake and you will still find some smaller lake homes too.  However they are going to be priced higher because of being on Cass Lake.  I myself love Cedar Island Lake Homes for Sale.  I used to ski out on Cedar Island Lake in White Lake Township.  Beautiful homes on a fun lake.  I hope this gives you an idea of what some of the local lakes are like.
